Rita S. Berkowitz received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She also has a Master of Science in Psychological Counseling. Rita has both studied and taught at the Arthur Findley College in Essex England, as well as lectured and demonstrated in colleges, New Age Centers and Spiritualist Churches in the United States and Canada.

Rita has impressed large audiences throughout the world by drawing portraits of loved ones from the higher side of life. She is author of Empowering your Life with Angels and co-author of the Complete Idiot's Guide to Communicating with Spirits.

After taking a fourteen year hiatus to be the pastor of a church, Rita opened a studio.  She is also a member of North River Arts Society, Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod , Pastel Painters Society of Connecticut, Painters for a Purpose and is a Juried Gallery Artist at South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA
